Aflateen is our 15 - 18 year old program. The goal is to address economic issues faced by youth today, such as understanding how to become smart consumers, workers and producers. In these classes we explore concepts such as age, gender, nationality, ethnicity, and socio-econ status, to create a better understanding of the community. We started the program in 2015 in the Bekaa Valley, working with youth scouts to address ethnic divides, particularly in relation to the Syrian crisis. At the time it was implemented in 15 villages in the Bekaa. Today the program is primarily implemented in Beirut, and we work with around 350 teenagers a year.
