During the year 2016, 154,261 patients benefited from the service of 434 decentralized country-wide governmental and community-based non-profit socio-medical centers and dispensaries.

 

The services offered by the Medical Assistance Program include the following:

 

  • Provide 63 kinds of medications

  • Serve 434 dispensaries and health centers

  • Served 154,261 patients

  • 2,687 doctors of 30 different specializations work in the dispensaries in addition to 3,472 volunteers and staff members.

 

 

The services offered by the participating dispensaries include:

 

  • 183 dispensaries provide laboratory and test services

  • 328 dispensaries are equipped with EKG 

  • 198 dispensaries have dental clinics

  • 274 dispensaries have gynecology clinics

  • 93 dispensaries are equipped with X-Ray machines

  • 136 dispensaries offer echography services

  • 2 dispensaries provide ET Scans

  • 50 dispensaries have ocular hypertension equipment

  • 23 dispensaries have EEG

  • 1 dispensary has an MRI

  • 1 dispensary has a mamograph

 

 

The YMCA is also distributing magnetic ID medicine cards to dispensaries as per the Ministry of Public Health instructions. 57,603 cards have been issued to this date.
